The above allowances are current for postal employees with anniversary dates after 5/21/2020. It's always best to call Citibank (800) 287-5003 and verify your current allowance.
The National Association of Letter Carriers released a bulletin on November 25, 2020 that stated the following tentative agreement:
"Increase in uniform allowance on May 21, 2021, to $487 (5 percent increase from current rate) and on May 21, 2022, to $499 (another 2.5 percent increase). Additional allowance credits for newly eligible employees have been increased by the same percentages."
This means, after May 21, 2021 if you're a new letter carrier and it's your first year, your allowance should be $600. After May 21, 2022 if you're a new letter carrier and it's your first year, your allowance should be $615.
